LEARN HOW TO MAKE THE PERFECT BRAMBLE COCKTAIL!
Your Explorer Club box has landed, and this month we’re putting your Yorkshire Gin to good use with one of Gary’s all-time favourite cocktails – the classic Bramble.
It’s simple to make, packed with flavour and looks just as good as it tastes.
What You’ll Need
- 50ml Yorkshire Gin (or 25ml if you’d prefer a lighter serve)
- Half a fresh lemon
- Ice
- Your Explorer Club berry syrup bottle
- Freeze-dried blackberries (included in your pack)
- Lemon slice for garnish
You’ll also need a cocktail shaker. Don’t have one? No problem. A clean jam jar or pasta sauce jar with a lid works just as well.
Method
Fill your serving glass with plenty of ice. Add more ice to your shaker until it’s around halfway full.
Pour in your gin, squeeze in the juice of half a lemon, then shake well for 20–30 seconds until nicely chilled.
Strain the mixture over the ice in your serving glass.
Give your Explorer Club berry syrup bottle a good shake, then slowly pour it over the drink. Use the whole bottle for a sweeter, richer Bramble, or half if you prefer a sharper, more citrus-forward cocktail.
Finish with a slice of lemon and a few freeze-dried blackberries from your Explorer Club pack.
A Little Tip
You’ll notice the beautiful layers as the berry syrup settles through the gin. It looks fantastic, but before taking your first sip, give it a gentle stir to bring all those flavours together.
And don’t throw away your little syrup bottle afterwards. They’re perfect for homemade salad dressings, sauces or taking a splash of dressing on a picnic.
Cheers, and enjoy your Explorer Club Bramble!
