Spring Flavour
What smells, flavours and places make you think of sprinG?
At Forged Spirits, there is a lot to love about what we do – but if we’re honest, the best part of our job is getting the opportunity to work with seasonal botanicals to create new and exciting Gin, Vodka or Rum.
We have just renewed our organic certification this February at Forged Spirits, an achievement that feels to embody springtime to us and our business – fresh starts, fresh botanicals and fresh ideas.
Although we loved the cosy winter nights and Christmas spices, the longer days and warmer times on the horizon feel like a breath of fresh air. The growth of new plants and flowers means an abundance of fresh inspiration for us in the distillery.
We love letting the natural world guide our recipe development, and we want our Spring gin to embody this too. Think bright, lifted flavours – blossoms, green notes, citrus, herbs – the moment when everything wakes up after winter. That’s the energy we want to capture in our newest expression.

How about cherry blossom all the cherry trees blossom in spring and they have a lovely almondy flavour

Hi guys my hazelnut tree is very nearly in blossom and so are my primrose plants both sighs of spring,I can taste it now 🌺🌿👍

One thing that really tells me that Spring is on the way is that first hit of newly mown grass. It immediately lifts my spirits (see what I did there?).
Haha, meadowsweet has some of that grassy aroma..
